Welcome to TRAVEL Lanka — Vehicle Rentals, operated by sanuaa infinity / sanuda dewmal ("we", "us", or "our"). By placing a booking through our website at travellanka.run.place, you agree to be fully bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms apply to all three of our core services — Vehicle Rentals, Chauffeur Rides, and Airport Transfers. Please read carefully before confirming any booking.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
All customers must meet the following general requirements to use any TRAVEL Lanka service:
- You must be at least 18 years of age. For car, SUV, or van rentals, the minimum age is 21 years.
- You must provide a valid government-issued National Identity Card (NIC) or passport at the time of booking or pick-up.
- You must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs judgement or safety.
- You must provide accurate and complete personal details at all times. Bookings made using false or misleading information will be cancelled without refund.
🚗 For Vehicle Rentals (Self-Drive)
- You must hold a valid Sri Lankan driving licence or a recognised International Driving Permit (IDP) for the category of vehicle being rented.
- A motorcycle licence is required for all motorbike and tuk tuk rentals.
- You must be physically and mentally fit to operate a motor vehicle for the full duration of the rental period.
🧑✈️ For Chauffeur Rides & ✈️ Airport Transfers
- No driving licence is required — our driver handles all driving.
- The passenger must provide accurate pick-up and drop-off location details at the time of booking.
- The named passenger on the booking must be present at pick-up, or must notify TRAVEL Lanka in advance if a substitute passenger will be travelling.
Verification: We reserve the right to refuse service at pick-up if identity documents cannot be verified, without financial liability to TRAVEL Lanka.

BOOKING & CONFIRMATION
All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until you receive official confirmation from TRAVEL Lanka via email or WhatsApp.
- Bookings must be made through travellanka.run.place or via our authorised contact channels.
- You are responsible for providing accurate details at the time of booking — including service type, dates, times, pick-up location, and passenger or driver count.
- A booking is non-transferable and applies only to the named customer.
- For vehicle rentals, we reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of equal or superior category if your requested vehicle is unavailable, at no extra cost.
- TRAVEL Lanka reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking at its sole discretion without liability.

PAYMENT & PRICING
All prices are displayed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- A deposit or full payment may be required at the time of booking or at pick-up, as communicated during the booking process.
- All payments must be completed before a vehicle is released or a ride commences.
- Rates are subject to change without prior notice; however, confirmed bookings honour the price agreed at confirmation.
- Additional charges will apply for usage that exceeds the agreed duration, distance, or scope of service.
Security Deposit (Rentals Only): A refundable security deposit may be required for self-drive rentals. This will be returned within 3–5 business days after the vehicle is returned in satisfactory condition and any applicable charges have been settled.

PICK-UP, DROP-OFF & RETURN
🚗 Vehicle Rentals
- The renter must inspect the vehicle at pick-up and report any existing damage before taking possession. Unreported damage may be charged to the renter upon return.
- Pick-up and return times are strictly as agreed in the booking confirmation. Late returns will incur additional charges at the applicable daily or hourly rate.
- The vehicle must be returned to the agreed location in the same condition as received, clean and fuelled per the fuel policy.
- If you cannot return on time, contact the OWNER immediately. Vehicles returned at unauthorised locations may incur a relocation fee.
🧑✈️ Chauffeur Rides
- Our driver will arrive at the agreed pick-up point at the confirmed time. Please be ready at the pick-up location.
- A grace period of 10 minutes will be allowed after the agreed pick-up time, after which a waiting charge may apply.
- Route changes during the ride must be agreed with the driver and may incur additional charges.
✈️ Airport Transfers
- For airport pickups, you must provide your full flight details (flight number, arrival terminal, estimated arrival time) at the time of booking.
- Our driver will monitor flight status and adjust pick-up timing accordingly for standard delays at no extra charge.
- You are responsible for notifying Owner of any significant changes to your flight or travel plans as early as possible.
- Meet-and-greet service (driver waiting at arrivals with a name board) must be requested explicitly at the time of booking.

VEHICLE RENTAL — SPECIFIC TERMS
The following terms apply exclusively to self-drive vehicle rentals:
- Rented vehicles may only be operated on well-maintained public roads in Sri Lanka. Off-road use is strictly prohibited unless agreed in writing.
- The vehicle must not carry more passengers than its designated seating capacity as stated on the vehicle's registration.
- Sub-letting, re-renting, or transferring the vehicle to another person is strictly prohibited.
- The vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, commercial hire, driving lessons, or any illegal purpose.
- Driving outside agreed territorial boundaries (outside Sri Lanka) without prior written authorisation is not permitted.
- Owner reserves the right to recover the vehicle at any time if it is found to be used in violation of these Terms. Recovery costs will be borne by the renter.

CHAUFFEUR RIDES — SPECIFIC TERMS
The following terms apply exclusively to chauffeur ride bookings:
- All TRAVEL Lanka drivers hold valid Sri Lankan commercial driving licences. However, TRAVEL Lanka does not guarantee journey times due to road, traffic, or weather conditions.
- Passengers must treat drivers with respect. Abusive, threatening, or disruptive behaviour will result in immediate termination of the ride with no refund.
- Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle interior during the ride (including staining, breakage, or soiling). A cleaning or repair fee will apply.
- Smoking, consuming alcohol, or using illegal substances inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
- The number of passengers must not exceed the vehicle's seating capacity as confirmed at the time of booking.
- TRAVEL Lanka drivers are not permitted to carry additional unbooked passengers at any time.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS — SPECIFIC TERMS
The following terms apply exclusively to airport transfer bookings:
- Airport transfer bookings must be made at least 6 hours before the required pick-up time.
- For departures, we recommend a pick-up time that allows for traffic and check-in requirements. TRAVEL Lanka Or Drivers is not responsible for missed flights due to delays caused by the customer.
- For arrivals, you must update the Driver if your flight is significantly delayed or diverted to a different terminal.
- Luggage must fit within the vehicle's boot capacity as specified for the vehicle type booked. Excess luggage requiring a larger vehicle will be subject to an upgrade charge.
- Child seats are available upon request and must be requested at the time of booking.
- TRAVEL Lanka Or Drivers is not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control, including traffic, road closures, or acts of nature.
Flight Monitoring: For arrivals, Drivers will monitor your inbound flight so vehicle is ready when you land. Please ensure your flight number is correctly provided at the time of booking.

FUEL POLICY
🚗 Vehicle Rentals — Full-to-Full
Vehicles are provided with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. If returned with less fuel, a refuelling charge will be deducted from the security deposit at above-pump price. The renter is solely responsible for using the correct fuel type — all misfuelling charges and resulting repair costs are borne entirely by the renter. For electric vehicles.

Fuel costs are fully included in the quoted ride or transfer price. No separate fuel payment is required from the passenger.

DAMAGE, ACCIDENTS & LIABILITY
In the event of any accident, collision, or incident involving a TRAVEL Lanka vehicle during your booking period:
- You must immediately notify the OWNER and the Sri Lanka Police, and obtain a police report without delay.
- No admission of fault or settlement should be made at the scene without prior consent from the Owner.
- All vehicle damage — including dents, scratches, tyre damage, windscreen damage, and mechanical damage — will be assessed and charged to the responsible party where applicable.
- Damage caused by reckless driving, driving under the influence, or breach of these Terms will not be covered by insurance and will be the sole financial responsibility of the renter or passenger.
- TRAVEL Lanka shall not be held liable for loss or theft of personal belongings inside any vehicle during or after the service period.
⚠ Stolen Vehicles: Any vehicle reported stolen must be reported to the Sri Lanka Police immediately. The renter remains financially liable for all associated costs until TRAVEL Lanka And Owner receives an official police report confirming the theft.

INSURANCE
Basic third-party motor insurance as required by Sri Lankan law is included across all services. The following are expressly not covered by standard insurance:
- Damage to the rented or operated vehicle due to the customer's negligence or wilful misconduct.
- Theft of personal items from the vehicle.
- Damage occurring while a rental vehicle is operated by an unauthorised driver.
- Losses arising from use of any TRAVEL Lanka vehicle in violation of these Terms and Conditions.
- Damage resulting from driving under the influence of alcohol or any impairing substance.
Additional insurance coverage options may be available upon request at an added cost. Please enquire at the time of booking.

Modifications (e.g. date, time, vehicle, or destination changes) are subject to availability and must be requested at least 24 hours in advance. Additional charges may apply. TRAVEL Lanka Or Owner reserves the right to cancel any booking due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. vehicle breakdown, severe weather, or force majeure events) and will offer a full refund or alternative arrangement in such cases.

PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES
The following activities are strictly prohibited across all TRAVEL Lanka services:
- Being intoxicated or under the influence of any impairing substance during the service.
- Smoking inside any TRAVEL Lanka vehicle. A cleaning fee will apply if evidence of smoking is found.
- Transporting illegal goods, contraband, weapons, or hazardous materials in any TRAVEL Lanka vehicle.
- Using a rented vehicle for any form of commercial transport or ride-hailing without express written consent from TRAVEL Lanka Or Owner.
- Tampering with, attempting to repair, or modifying any vehicle without authorisation from TRAVEL Lanka Or Owner.
- Abusive, threatening, or disruptive conduct toward TRAVEL Lanka drivers or staff.
- Carrying more passengers than a vehicle's stated seating capacity.
- Using any TRAVEL Lanka vehicle to facilitate any activity that is illegal under Sri Lankan law.
⚠ Zero Tolerance: Violations of this section will result in immediate termination of the service with no refund, and TRAVEL Lanka Or Owner reserves the right to report incidents to the Sri Lanka Police where required by law.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Sri Lanka, TRAVEL Lanka and sanuaa infinity shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.
- Loss of income, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from or connected with any booking or use of our vehicles.
- Delays, cancellations, or service failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, civil unrest, government restrictions, natural disasters, or extreme weather conditions.
- Any personal injury or death arising from the customer's own negligence or breach of these Terms.
- Actions or omissions of third parties over whom TRAVEL Lanka has no control.
Our total aggregate liability to any customer for any single claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific booking giving rise to that claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by TRAVEL Lanka's own negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on the TRAVEL Lanka website — including but not limited to the name "TRAVEL Lanka", the TRAVEL Lanka logo, page designs, vehicle photography, written content, and software — is the exclusive intellectual property of sanuaa infinity and is protected under applicable Sri Lankan and international copyright law.
- You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on this website without prior written consent from TRAVEL Lanka.
- You may not use the TRAVEL Lanka name, logo, or branding in any way that implies affiliation, endorsement, or partnership without explicit written permission.
- Booking confirmations and Terms documents are for personal reference only and may not be reproduced commercially.

PERSONAL DATA & PRIVACY
By making a booking, you consent to TRAVEL Lanka collecting and processing your personal data — including your name, NIC/passport number, contact details, driving licence details, and flight information where applicable — for the purpose of service delivery, identity verification, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Your data will not be sold to or shared with third parties except as required by Sri Lankan law or as described in our Privacy Policy. For full details on how we collect, store, and protect your personal data, including your rights as a data subject, please read our Privacy Policy.

GOVERNING LAW & AMENDMENTS
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with any TRAVEL Lanka booking or service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
TRAVEL Lanka reserves the right to update or amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. The version published on our website at the time of booking shall apply. Continued use of our services following any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
